Paris' architectural city planning has an intriguing history. It is rich in symbolism and mythical elements that is not limited to separate buildings, but almost invariably involves architecture and infrastructure of a large city area. Example of this is the Arc de Triomphe at the end of the Champs Elysees that points straight at Dendera, the court of Isis in Egypt. Isis' name is said to be part of the city's name: Par Isis. The queen is believed to have traveled to where Paris is now, where in Saint Germain des Pres a temple was built in her honor on the ruins of which later was built a Roman Catholic church (Le Sacre Coeur). Some think this was the beginning of the city of Paris. Underneath the houses, cathedrals and streets, an other part of Paris is built, where the skulls and bones of 7 million deceased are put to rest:
Les Catacombes.
